Eternal describes something that lasts or exists forever, without an end or a beginning. It often denotes timelessness and permanence.

In many contexts, especially religious or philosophical ones, "eternal" is used to convey the idea of something that exists outside of the temporal constraints we're familiar with in our day-to-day lives.
